I’m Running for Re-Election
In 2021, you elected me to represent the city of Grovetown on the Grovetown City Council. I have shown that I care, listen, and do the work. I strive to be a representative you can trust. I always ask the hard questions, and am willing to speak truth to power. Today I ask for your support as I seek re-election. Together we can build on the successes of my first term. But I’m going to need your help. It will take all of us working together again to make sure that you still have a strong voice on the Grovetown City Council. Your support will allow me to continue putting community first!
CERETTA’S VISION:
Trusted & Inclusive LeadershipThe Citizens, Residents, Staff, and Council Members deserve an honest, trustworthy, and inclusive leader. I pledge to continue to foster an environment that values transparency, accountability, and a sense of belonging for everyone. |

A Safe CommunityGrovetown has been named one of the safest places to live in the state of Georgia. This is thanks to our Public Safety Department. As your Council Member, I support our Law and Fire Departments by ensuring their access to resources needed to perform their jobs. When re-elected, I pledge my continued support to ensure Grovetown remains a safe place to live, work, and play. |
Clean NeighborhoodsWe are a well-maintained city and this is because of our beautiful Streets, Sanitation, Leisure, and Recreation Departments. As your Council Member, I support these departments’ efforts to restructure, hire additional staff, and purchase equipment needed to keep our city clean and provide quality services. When re-elected, I pledge my continued support to these departments. |
Balanced Budget and Fiscal ResponsibilityWhen I ran for City Council, I pledged oversight of the budget to ensure that we would avoid excessive spending and to make sure that funds were focused on areas and services that required them the most. I kept my word by addressing excessive spending when needed. When re-elected, I pledge to continue working with the City’s Administrator and Finance Director to ensure we as a city are being fiscally responsible and hold other leaders accountable to do the same. |
Education and TrainingEducation and training are vital for our council members and staff to provide the highest quality of services to the community. As your Council Member, I advocated for training for our staff, encouraged my fellow Council Members to take training, and created a capstone project that would offer free training to the community. When re-elected, I will continue to advocate for training opportunities for our staff, Council Members and offer free training to our citizens and residents on various topics. |
Responsible Economic Growth and DevelopmentGrovetown is the fastest-growing city in Columbia County and I foresee continued growth and development but it must be done responsibly. When re-elected I will work with the rest of the Council Members and our City Administrator and appropriate staff to ensure we safeguard smart developments that provide diversified housing, dining, and entertainment options that honor and respect Grovetown’s diversity and quality of life.
